Careers
Freiling Agency is a white-glove publishing house for leaders of influence. We are a small, senior team that cares deeply about craft, and we are always glad to hear from talented people who want to help authors turn important ideas into books that last.
Great books, and the people who make them.
Life at Freiling
Now seeking
We are looking for entrepreneurial, driven individuals to join us in independent, contract business development roles, people who want to take charge of their own careers, enjoy real freedom, and build a six-figure income doing it.
Who we are looking for: A background in publishing, sales, or marketing is a plus, but we are open to any enterprising individual with the drive to build something of their own. If you are a self-starter who loves people and wants to be rewarded for exactly what you put in, we should talk.
Why Freiling
Every book we publish carries someone's expertise, story, or mission. Your work helps get it into the world with the polish it deserves, and readers who act on it.
You will work alongside people who have scaled publishing companies, edited best-sellers, and built brands. It is the kind of team where you learn quickly and your standards rise.
We are headquartered on Hilton Head Island and work with talented people wherever they are. We care about the quality of your work, not where you sit.
We are small enough that your contribution is visible and your ideas are heard. No red tape, no anonymity, just good people doing excellent work together.
Where you might fit
Developmental editors, copyeditors, and proofreaders who make good manuscripts great while protecting the author's voice.
Writers who can sit with an expert, capture how they think and speak, and turn it into a finished, compelling book.
Cover and interior designers and typesetters who give every book a professional, market-ready finish.
Campaign, social, and author-platform specialists who help our books and authors reach the right readers.
Trade sales and retail relationship builders who open real doors for our authors across the country.
Project managers and coordinators who keep dozens of books moving and every author feeling looked after.
How to apply
We do not always have a formal opening posted, but we are genuinely interested in meeting people who love books and do excellent work. Send us a short note about what you do, what you are looking for, and a resume, portfolio, or a few samples of your work. If there is a fit, we will be in touch.
